Our outpatient unit offers the opportunity of non-invasive testing from the fetus DNA. Pranascan represents the most accurate screening method in the world. The testing is possible from the three most common chromosomes directly from the mother’s blood. Diagnosis accuracy for Down syndrome is 99 % and 98 % for the Edwards and Patau syndrome. The examination does not have 100% accuracy for the amniotic fluid, however, there is no risk of misscariage, bleeding or drain of the amniotic fluid which is considered as the great advantage of this method. Another advantage is that the examination is possible from the end of the 12th week to 20th week of pregnancy.
